The Ballet Concert

Yesterday we went to Sarah's end of year Ballet Concert.  Sarah's group were Star's in the Bedtime story section.  Here are some little pic's I took.
All the stars are tinkling - differently.

Sarah's foot is pointed nicely.

I don't know if they know what is happening?

The star's sit, as the Dolls Dance

Sarah is clearly enjoying the Moonbeams dance.

It was a lovely concert - from the littlies to the older girls.  Very colourful and well put together with a mix of Ballet and Jazz.  The final section was the Wizard of Oz.

This week we also had Halloween.  Sarah was invited to her friends house for Halloween games and treasure hunts - so we made a costume for her to dress in.  Sarah wanted to go as something that no-one would think of.  She chose an Eyeball......... Here is the Eyeball Costume while it was in the making.

It's a Stampede!!!

Ha - it's a beautiful sunny day in WA - and just as well - cause Ana and I did the Stampede in the Valley this morning.  It was so much fun!  It's a 4km obstacles course - with lots of things to climb over, under, through and some of them involved water or mud or both!  Here we are all clean and ready to go......

We did it with a group from my work - Dave & Vanessa, Sarah, Rod, Nicole, Mel, Chris (not in this pic), and Charlie.
We dropped our bags, pinned on Race numbers and made it to the "Start Line"
 Then we were off..........
Yay - I was waving, Ana's smiling Peacefully.....
Then round the corner, it was into the first obstacle - rows of big high hay bales.....
 Over we went.......
By the way - that was the glamour shot.......if you missed it - here it is again!!
Yay - I got to the last row and rolled over it.......
 See......
Here we are getting to the end...........Ana first.............
Then me.  I was looking a bit hot - but not tooo dirty.

 Yay - we made it!!!
Here we are with the crew - discussing the fun!   See I really am the cleanest!

Sports Day

I've just had the loveliest morning.....I went to the School Sports Day at Sarah's School.  It was heaps of fun - and I even got in on the action - but more about that later.  First - let me bombard you with some pic's of Sarah competing.
Here is the Ball Throw!
 Check out that form!
The Teams each have little tents that they wait in before and after each event.  Sarah is in the Gold Team.
There are a few novelty games - This one is a "Put the Flag in the Bucket" relay

This is a run round the circle one........

And this is Sarah standing nice and still waiting to start the next game - as only Sarah can stand still!!
Throw the Ball game......

 Running Race......
This is my fav pic of the day.....Sarah and her friend running.
Waving the flag for the Gold team.
Then after lunch - a play on the Monkey bars.

And remember I said I got in on the action????
Well here I am flying the flag for Mums and NZ (see my T-shirt)!

Huh!! Fun man - although I thought at one stage I was gonna end up face first on the ground....but I managed to hold it together!! Wheww!!
