Stampin Up!

At the beginning of May, I became a Stampin Up Demonstrator.

Stampin Up! is a great way to Share what I love - Stamping and Card making. I also thought this would be a great way for me to meet others in Perth, that share my passion for stamping.

Stampin' Up! has an exclusive line of decorative stamp sets and accessories for greeting cards, scrapbooking, craft projects, and home decor! Stampin' Up! products are not sold in stores but may be purchased at home workshops or through Stampin' Up! demonstrators like myself.
What I love about Stampin Up! is that all the Inks, Papers, Ribbons, Brads etc match perfectly. This makes it incredibly easy to to put together some beautifully coordinated cards and gifts.

Here are some pic's of what we did at my first workshop. We had a lovely afternoon, everyone had a project, that they had made to take home. We used a range of Designer Papers that were on special for the month of May. Keep watching here for more creations!!

Bit of a Bruiser!!

A few weeks ago, my Father-in-law Norm, had and accident at work - where a spanner-wrench-thingy flew off the machinery he was working on and hit him on the head! I thought I'd show you what he looked like afterwards.

He was very lucky..... there could have been more damage.

The doctor said.....a bit down and he would have lost and eye or a bit up and it would have killed him. But lucky for him - it was just a few stitches and lots of bruising.

Norm had about 3 days off (included the weekend) and then was back to work. The bruising went down very quickly so he looks normal again.

PS : He WAS wearing safety glasses too!!

Pic's of Sarah

Today I took these lovely Pictures of Sarah and I thought I would share them with you.

The first is her on the swing. As you know, Sarah loves to swing. And because the sun was strong I had put on a hat and glasses. Very soon - Sarah wanted hat and glasses too. But these were all I could find. She did look cute and colourful.

I took this photo of her tonight - talking to her Daddy on the telephone. She is quite chatty (sometimes) and was nattering away to him. Neil is at work in the mines and is away for 2 weeks at a time - so the telephone and internet are quite important communication tools for us.

Bodacious Bouquet to Bold Brights

Hooray - My Stamping Stuff arrived in Perth safely. So the first chance I had - I got it all out and created a few cards.

Firstly - while I was staying with Carol & Norm - I did not have much in the way of stamping supplies. So Nadine sent me some of the new 5.8" Chocolate Chip Ribbon that SU has put out, so I decided to try to create something using it. This is what I came up with. I also decided to stick to using the Bodacious Bouquet Stamp Set.

Next I thought I would use colours that I had not used before. And this is what I ended up with. It's using Handsome Hunter & Bravo Burgundy.

To finish off I decided to do something using the Bold Brights Colour Family. I ended up with these 2 cute cards. Not a bad effort for one night!!

Pic's from the Big Move!

Well, as most of you know - we have recently moved to Perth - so I thought I would share a few pic's of it all taking place. Firstly - the stuff being packed up at the Auckland end - which was strange. All of a sudden, our house that usually felt full and often cluttered, was empty and bear.
Then it was all loaded into the container - while we were thinking....Ohhh I hope it gets there OK.

And as you can see from the few pic's I have here - it did arrive safely. The guys unpacked it all in the garage - while Sarah supervised.
That was until her toys were un-wrapped. Then she was on her own journey of discovery.
