The Tooth Fairy Is Coming!

The Tooth Fairy is coming to our place tonight!
Sarah's tooth came out today - while at the movies.  It has been wobbly for about 10 - 12 weeks now - and finally popped out today.

Sarah and Ana were at the movies - and the tooth ended up on the floor - so the girls felt around until they found it - which would have been hard given that it is the same colour as the many little bits of popcorn that were on the ground!!

Ana later on told me that whilst in the movie and after Sarah had told her of the tooth falling out that she got a little bit teary because "Her girl" is growing up!  We both laughed.

Blowing out the Candels

Further to the Pink hair - Sarah had an afternoon of fun with a few of her friends at the Fun Station (which is a big play land with slides, climbing frames, mazes and tunnels).  As well as all the playing we had a Pink Cake with Polly Pockets on the top.

When we got home - Ana had arrived and brought Sarah a present that was just about as big as she is.

Happy Birthday Sarah!

6 Today!

What a fabulous Day it was too!  There was so much going on - so it was a perfect day for a Birthday.

Firstly there was a bundle of gifts to be ripped open...... the best of them being - A Boy Barbie!

I'd asked my boss if I could go a bit later to work - so I could take Sarah to school and spend a bit more time with her in the morning - instead of the usual rush rush rush....... so we had heaps of time for Presents and play.  We (meaning "I") even built a Lego Car!   Oh man..... look at all those tiny pieces!

To top it all off it was Free Dress and Crazy Hair day at school - so I took Sarah to School with a container of Pink Cup Cakes to share with her class mates and Bright Pink Hair!!!  (Which I really hope washes out)!

Tomorrow we are off to the Fun Station with a couple of her Friends to play.   I made these little invitations for the friends that are coming - although it's not officially a Party - just a big play time with a cake!!

A trip to Sydney

At the beginning of January, Mum turned 70. So we decided to all meet in Sydney to Celebrate her Birthday. Nadine and Mum came from New Zealand, Sarah and I came from Perth and Lloyd and Gabby were already in Sydney.

Sarah had a great time hanging out with her cousin Gabby. They spent time colouring in, playing with Barbies, Running around outside and bouncing on the Trampoline.  And they had sleep over’s together at night time.

Sarah also enjoyed meeting her cousin Jayden.  She followed him round and chased him across the park.  Jayden pushed her on the Swings and took both Sarah and Gabby off for a little bush walk.

On Mum’s actual Birthday – we went to the Park for the day. We met up with my nephew Jayden and his Mum Yvette. The Kids (cousins) had a lovely time together – while the oldies sat under the tree and enjoyed the warmth of the day.
 Here's Nadine, Lloyd and I
 And with Mum
 Mum and her Grand-children.
We finished the day off with KFC for dinner! Not the best Birthday Tea for a 70 year old......but I think Mum liked it anyway. We presented her with a Photo book that was all about her life which has been well looked at.
On one of the days – we took the train into Sydney – have a look at the harbour, Bridge and Opera house. Nadine and I were quite surprised at the extra buildings that were not there the last time we visited Sydney. We enjoyed a wander around and a huge ice-cream before heading back to my brother’s house.

Although it was a really quick trip - Nadine and I managed to squeeze in a spot of shopping - which was loads of fun.
It was fantastic to see them all – but not long enough. Looking forward to my next trip home.

Honey Dog has a Sore Toe!

When we go out walking after dinner - Honey Dog likes to take off and run as fast as she can. She does not go to far - the turns around and tears back to us. We walk around the corner to a little park where Sarah can have a play on the swings then we wander home again.

Near the park - there are a couple of big drains that Honey often gets into......we try to keep her out of them - cause she gets a bit wet and sometimes smelly....... anyway - a couple of nights ago - she was doing really good at staying out of the drain....but the minute we turned our back - she was straight in there. So by the time she got all wet we just let her go for it.

She went back to the drain and a few seconds later - she came out limping - and would not put her foot on the ground. So we went home. She did not yelp and we could not see anything - and she let us touch it.....but it was obvious it was sore.

The next morning she would still not put it down - so it was off to the vets with her. Turns out she has broken her toe - so now has to have it strapped up for the next 6 weeks.

Perth Christmas Pageant

Today was Perth's 2011 Christmas Parade - although here they call it the Christmas Pageant. It was great - with over 100 floats, loads of colour, energy and noise (even in the hot weather).

Lucky for Sarah and I - we got a spot in the shade under some big trees - right at the front on the grass. I don't know how hot it was............ but we would not have managed without the shade. Here is Sarah waiting patiently for the Parade to start......in her long sleeved winter top that she insisted on wearing.

Sarah was very very lucky that the lady sitting next to us - with 3 little girls had taken a spare summer dress - that she let Sarah wear when she got too hot for her winter shirt.

One of the first to come along was Fat Cat. Fat Cat is a pretty important figure in WA. Every night at 7.30pm Fat Cat comes on TV and tells the Boys and Girls that it is bed time. Sarah loves Fat Cat.....although when he is on the ground close by - she runs away!

There were Knights, Dragons, Castles and Princesses.

And Clowns on Funny Bikes.

This Young Giraffe was having a great time - entertaining the crowd.

There were loads of colourful Dance groups

These are WA Gold Miners!

And when these guys came along I said - "Look Sarah, those people are riding Ostrich's"....and the little boy next to me pipes up and says - "Arhhh - I think they're Emu's"!!!

Lady birds, Tinkerbell and Fairy's

And then came.....................SANTA!!
